Heralded Grammy award winning saxophonist, Kenny Garrett brings his sextet to Rochester, New York for a show at the Hochstein Performance Hall on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Garrett’s latest full-length solo release, 2021’s Sounds from the Ancestors, combines Jazz, and West African music influences with gospel, soul and hip-hop. The release garnered rave reviews, including a five out of five-star rating from Downbeat Magazine. Garrett has distinguished himself with memorable stints with Miles Davis, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Woody Shaw, Freddie Hubbard, Donald Byrd and many more. Legendary saxophonist, Branford Marsalis brings his quartet to the Hochstein Performance Hall on Sunday, May 4 at 8PM (pre-show drinks at 6:30pm.) Marsalis has performed with Joey Calderazzo on piano, Eric Revis on bass, and Justin Faulkner on the drums for decades, and coming this spring the band will release their first record in 6 years. Join us to witness this extraordinary group live and in person in one of Rochester's finest performance spaces for acoustic music.
